The Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (SCAP) is a 5‐year (2023-2028), $3.5 billion investment, including $1 billion in federal programs and activities and $2.5 billion in cost-shared programs and activities by federal-provincial-territorial governments.
SCAP represents a cost-shared federal-provincial investment of $508 million over 5 years towards strategic programs and services for the agriculture and agri-food industry in Alberta.

On-Farm Efficiency Program Launched
The Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (SCAP) has launched a new On-Farm Efficiency Program for producers. This program combines the key funding opportunities previously seen under the Farm Technology Program and Efficient Grain Handling Program with the additional inclusion of Energy Efficiency.
The On-Farm Efficiency Program offers a maximum of $150,000 over four streams of funding each with their own funding limit as follows:
Smart Farm Technology: maximum of $50,000
Energy Efficiency: maximum of $50,000
Farm Security: maximum of $2,000
Efficient Grain Handling: $100,000
Funding under this program is cost shared at 50% and purchases made retroactive to April 1, 2023.
