Growing Curiosity
Our Support for Ag for Life Education Programs
At Alberta Pork, supporting agriculture education is more than a sponsorship—it’s an investment in the future of farming, food, and informed consumers. That’s why we’re proud to sponsor projects led by Ag for Life, including the Classroom Agriculture Program and the Know Your Food Truck.
These initiatives align closely with our belief that when students understand where their food comes from, they’re more likely to value agriculture, ask thoughtful questions, and see opportunity in the industry—including pig farming.
Bringing Agriculture into the Classroom
The Classroom Agriculture Program connects Grade 4 and 5 students with real-world farming knowledge in a way that’s engaging, age-appropriate, and curriculum-aligned. Through hands-on activities and interactive lessons, students learn how food is produced, the role farmers play in caring for animals and the environment, and how modern agriculture continues to evolve.
Meeting Students Where They Are
Targeting Grades 7 to 12, the Know Your Food Truck takes agriculture education on the road, meeting students and families in communities across Alberta. This mobile classroom offers an interactive way to explore food production, nutrition, and farming practices—turning learning into an experience. The delivery format offers a blend of digital, tactile and conversational-style learning.
Investing in the Future of Agriculture
Our sponsorship of AgForLife projects reflects our long-term commitment to education and awareness. Today’s students are tomorrow’s farmers, veterinarians, researchers, policymakers, and consumers. By helping them build a strong foundation of agricultural knowledge now, we’re supporting a future where the pig farm industry is understood, respected, and supported.
We’re proud to stand alongside AgForLife in growing interest, understanding, and confidence in Alberta agriculture—one classroom, one community, and one curious mind at a time.
