New Producer Registration
Register your pigs easily and stay compliant with Alberta regulations
Whether you raise pigs for food production or as companions, all pig owners in Alberta must be registered with Alberta Pork under the Marketing of Agricultural Products Act – Alberta Pork Commission Regulations.
Registration helps ensure animal health, food safety, and traceability across the province — and it’s completely free.
Before you Register
A Premises Identification Number (PID), issued by the Government of Alberta, is required for registration. If you don’t already have one, you can register online through the Premises Identification Program.
