Executive Assistant Job Opportunity
Alberta Pork is looking for an organized, professional, and proactive Executive Assistant to join our team in Edmonton.

About Alberta Pork
Alberta Pork is a self-sustaining, producer-funded organization representing Alberta’s registered pork producers. Guided by an elected Board of Directors, we work with producers, government, industry partners, consumers, and the media to strengthen and advance Alberta’s pork sector.
Our team is committed to supporting producers through advocacy, traceability, animal health initiatives, industry development, and organizational excellence.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Executive Assistant provides confidential executive, administrative, governance, and human resources support while serving as an important liaison between the Executive Director, Board of Directors, management team, producers, and external stakeholders.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing multiple responsibilities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Executive Director, Board of Directors, Board Committees, and Management Team.
- Coordinating meetings, travel arrangements, and executive schedules.
- Maintaining corporate records and governance documentation.
- Supporting human resources administration, including onboarding and offboarding.
- Assisting with financial administration, including accounts payable and receivable documentation.
- Overseeing day-to-day office operations and administrative processes.
- Supporting Alberta Pork projects, meetings, programs, and industry events.
Who We’re Looking For
The successful candidate will be highly organized, dependable, and adaptable, with excellent communication and time management skills.
Qualifications include:
- Formal administrative training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three or more years of administrative experience.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
- Experience supporting executive leadership, governance, human resources, or financial administration is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of the agriculture industry is also an asset.
