Alberta Pork is a non-profit organization representing Alberta’s 1250 hog producers and has the mandate, the opportunity and the challenge of being the unified voice for industry.
Among producers are several distinct segments including traditional family operations, large scale farms, multi-site integrators as well as the Hutterite community. Through democratically-elected producer representatives, Alberta Pork represents producers’ interests to governments, other sectors in the industry, the media, consumers, the general public and other groups involved in the pork industry.
Alberta Pork welcomes input and guidance from producers through the elected Director and Delegate body. Producers and others in the industry are invited to discuss any issues by contacting an Alberta Pork Director, Delegate or staff member. |
