IMPORTANT For Employers: Although farm businesses are generally deemed exempt under current Alberta Workers Compensation Board (WCB) regulations, HRSDC in most cases now requires foreign workers be covered under WCB.  Employers are encouraged to have equivalent or better benefit programs in place in the event they need to demonstrate they have adequate coverage to meet HRSDC requirements.
